We are informal but we like to use the best of everything, so we give preference to the best, fresh and regional products. We are unpretentious, offering a simple menu with modern, comfortable and comforting food, cooked in the fire - whether in our wood oven or in the fireplace.
To the culinary traditions and their flavours of the Azores. With a wide variety of meats that come directly from the pastures, artisanal cheeses, fresh fish and seafood; and organic products, we want to share the regional flavours and our passion for the island with you, revealing the secrets of traditional cuisine in every dish.
Here we tell stories about this place, about the Algarve and about the Ria that the ancient people decided to call formosa (beautiful) for obvious reasons. Here we use your plate as a blank page, the kitchenware as pencils and pens and the ingredients as natural dyes.

Escape hike. On the night of the Full Moon. A guided hike starting from Vila Monte into the Serra, focusing on nocturnal wildlife, lit solely by the light of the full moon.

Experience the authenticity of Ria Formosa. Depart from Olhão and enjoy a boat trip around the different islands. Passing through deserted islands, fisherman villages and have the opportunity to have a pit stop at the Oysters farm and get to know about the daily life on the island, and taste oysters caught fresh along with some Portuguese white wine.

Test the artisanal practice of harvesting Flor de Sal in one of the salt mines of the Castro Marim wetland reserve with Jorge, salt artisan. Get to harvest your Flor de Sal, learn to taste the difference between industrial and artisanal salt and dive into the complex science of salt making.
The visit ends with a salt tasting and aperitif with typical Algarvian tapas.
